The membrane is bonded to the outer fabric and protected by a separate lining. This construction suits everyday outdoor jackets and workwear where comfort and lining choices matter.
A printed or coated inner surface replaces a full lining, helping reduce weight. It is often selected for packable rain shells and active outdoor collections.
Outer fabric, membrane and backer are laminated together. This construction is considered for technical shells that require a clean interior and durable performance.
Waterproof and breathability ratings depend on the selected fabric system and the buyer's test requirements. We confirm available test data with the material supplier instead of applying one performance claim to every jacket.

A DWR finish helps water bead on the fabric surface, but it is not the same as a complete waterproof construction. The membrane or coating, seam design, tape compatibility, zipper choice and hood construction all affect how the finished jacket handles rain.
Fully taped seams: seam tape is applied throughout the garment for projects requiring broader protection.
Critically taped seams: tape is applied to key exposure areas when the product brief and price position allow this approach.
Weather-protective details: storm flaps, hood adjustment, cuff closures, hem drawcords and zipper garages can be developed to suit the design.
